Reader. Author. Teacher. Shopkeeper. Lifelong seeker. Michelle Peters is the person behind The Charmed Emporium and The Charmed Oracle, and the reason the shop feels less like a retail concept and more like stepping into someone’s very curious, very well-loved world.
Hi, I’m Michelle. My relationship with intuition and the unseen started early. My current website tells the story of my first psychic experience at two years old, but what matters most is that curiosity never left me. Over time, it became study, practice, teaching, reading, healing work, writing, and eventually the creation of The Charmed Oracle and The Charmed Emporium.
I have spent years refining my craft and expanding the ways I can support people who are looking for clarity, connection, spiritual exploration, or simply a place where they can be curious without feeling judged. I am a Certified Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui Tradition, a formally initiated Witch, Mage, and Priestess with the Society of Witchcraft and Old Magick, and a holistic health coach. My work has also included end-of-life doula support and a deeply personal relationship with grief and loss.
None of those titles matter as much to me as the way people feel when they sit across from me, walk into the shop, or realize they are allowed to ask the question they have been carrying around.
I am an 8th great-granddaughter of Samuel Wardwell, who was accused of witchcraft and executed during the Salem witch trials. That history has always carried weight for me. It connects my family to one of the most complicated and painful chapters in New England history and reminds me how fear, belief, community, reputation, and power can shape the way people are seen.
I do not use Samuel’s story as a costume or a gimmick. I carry it as part of my family history and as one reason I remain interested in ancestry, folk practice, divination, local history, and the ways people make meaning out of what they cannot always explain.
That connection is woven into my writing, my teaching, my spiritual practice, and the atmosphere of The Charmed Emporium. Not because I am trying to recreate Salem, but because history has a way of following us into the present.
The Charmed Oracle began with readings, spiritual work, and Michelle’s personal practice. The Charmed Emporium grew that world into a physical place: somewhere you can browse without pressure, ask a question without feeling silly, discover a new deck or book, sit for a reading, take a class, meet someone interesting, or leave with an object that becomes part of your own story.
The Emporium is not meant to tell you what to believe. It is meant to make room for curiosity.
